• Since the seven-game win streak by the Chants, the two teams have split the last four games at 2-2, trading wins back-and-forth.
• CCU has won each of the three Sun Belt Conference series between the two teams since 2017.

LOOKING TO SNAP OUT OF IT
• The Chanticleers will look to snap a current three-game losing streak as they head into action this week at Appalachian State (April 14-16).
• The last month of the season has been an up-and-down roller coaster for the Chanticleers. Coastal posted back-to-back wins in a doubleheader over Xavier (March 13) before going 1-1-1 in a three-game series at home versus ULM (March 18-20) and posting a road win at then-No. 20 Clemson (March 22).
• The next four games saw CCU go 1-3 with road games at then-No. 9 Texas State (March 25-27) and Wake Forest (March 30), only to see the Chants right the ship with three wins on the road at Arkansas State (April 1-3).
• However, CCU followed the sweep at A-State by dropping three consecutive games last weekend at home to Georgia State (April 8-10).

UNPRECEDENTED TIMES
• Last weekend, the Chanticleers were swept at home in a three-game series by Georgia State.
• With the three losses, CCU was on the losing end of a three-game sweep at home for the first time this season and only the second time in the last two years, having been swept by Troy at home May 7-9 of last year.
• Prior to the two sweeps at home over the last two years, the Chanticleers were last swept at home in a three-game series in 2000 versus Kent State on March 24-26, 2000.

NO FRET FOR THE WEARY
• Coastal Carolina's 2022 schedule has been a challenging one, as the Chanticleers have played five top-30 nationally-ranked teams and teams out of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Big Ten, and the Big 12.
• The Chanticleers enter play this week with the 42nd-best strength of schedule at .5519, the third-strongest schedule in the Sun Belt Conference.
