• FINISHING OFF ANOTHER LONG ROAD TRIP: Coastal went 4-1 on its recent five-game trip with the only blemish a loss at Wake Forest Tuesday.
• ALPHABET SOUP: Coastal sits at No. 10 in the NCAA RPI and also holds one of the 25 toughest schedules in the NCAA, according to the data.
• TOP OF THE BELT: With an 11-4 conference mark, Coastal enters the weekend in the thick of the Sun Belt title race. The Chants have won three straight Sun Belt series, including last weekend's sweep at Georgia State.
• TABLE SETTER: Ty Dooley leads the Chants in on-base percentage over the last 10 games (.463). He has 10 hits and 11 RBIs while drawing six walks, laying down three sacrifices and being hit by three pitches.
• ROTATION HOLDING STRONG: The trio of Jacob Morrison (6-0, 2.47 ERA), Riley Eikhoff (5-2, 2.47 ERA), and Cameron Flukey (2-1, 3.66 ERA) continues to anchor the starting staff. Morrison has not allowed more than two earned runs in any start and leads the team with 49 strikeouts. Eikhoff is slated to return Sunday after missing a start last week.
• BALANCED BATS: Seven Chants with 90+ at-bats are hitting .244 or better, led by Dooley (.316), Dean Mihos (.314), and Caden Bodine (.301). Bodine leads with 27 walks and Sebastian Alexander tops with 30 RBIs.
• PACKING A PALACE: Coastal Carolina has drawn an average of 2,830 fans per game this season, totaling 48,104 across all home games at Springs Brooks Stadium, ranking No. 34 nationally and third in the SBC.
