Taylor Jones was named assistant director of speed, strength and conditioning at Coastal Carolina University in July 2013. He is responsible for assisting with football, and will also support women's volleyball, men's' and women's track and field throwers, men's tennis, women's lacrosse and cheerleading.

Prior to coming to Coastal Carolina University in 2012, Jones spent a season as a graduate intern for the University of Maryland Terrapins working directly with football and assisting with men's and women's cross country.

In spring 2011, Jones served as an intern at the University of Missouri, where he assisted primarily with football, and men's and women's track and field, and also worked with softball, women's volleyball, baseball, men's basketball, men's and women's tennis, and women's gymnastics.

Jones received a bachelor's degree in exercise science with focus in strength and conditioning (athletic performance) and a minor in coaching and nutrition in 2011 from Springfield College in Massachusetts. He played strong safety for Springfield College football from 2007 to 2010.

He holds a certification with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
