Brendan Danker was named an academic advisor for student-athlete support services at Coastal Carolina University in 2012.
Previously, he served as a member of the men's basketball coaching staff at Eastern Mennonite University, an NCAA Division III program in Harrisonburg, Va., from 2010 to 2012. As part of his coaching responsibilities, Danker coordinated the team's academic support program. During the 2011-2012 academic year, he also served as an adjunct instructor in the department of kinesiology at James Madison University.
From 2008 to 2010 Danker worked at Parkland College in Champaign, Ill., and taught courses in sport psychology, and educational, career and life planning for student-athletes. He also served as the college's interim athletic academic advisor during the 2009 spring semester.
Danker earned a master's degree in sport administration from Wichita State University in 2008. As a graduate student, he served as an assistant men's basketball coach at Hesston College, a junior college in Kansas. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Eastern Mennonite University in 1999.
