Lauren Ashman has served as Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance at Coastal Carolina University since 2010. In addition, she is the sport administrator for men's and women's tennis.
She came to Coastal Carolina from Hofstra University where she served as Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance from 2008-2010 and Assistant Director of Compliance from 2006-2010. No stranger to Chanticleer Athletics, Ashman also served as an Assistant Director of Compliance at Coastal Carolina from 2004-2006.
As the Chanticleers' top compliance officer, Ashman serves as the primary point of reference for all matters related to NCAA rules compliance, monitors all institutional aid awarded to student-athletes, coordinates a comprehensive rules education program and supervises the positions of assistant director of compliance and director of student-athlete services. She is a graduate of the 2010 NACWAA Institute for Administrative Advancement/West and a member of the NCAA Peer-Review Team Pool for the Third Cycle of NCAA Certification.
In addition to her role in compliance at Hofstra, Ashman also served as the sport administrator for softball, baseball, men's and women's golf, and men's and women's tennis.
A native of Latrobe, Pa., Ashman earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from Slippery Rock University in 2004.
