Senior women's soccer player Dana Gentile has been named the Coastal Carolina Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 28.

Gentile scored a hat trick in Coastal Carolina's 5-1 win over USC Upstate Sept. 21, the first of her career in a Chanticleer uniform. Gentile scored her first goal at 30:40 off an assist from Sarah McPartlan. She then scored right at the start of the second half on an assist from Anna Tupy. Gentile completed the hat trick at 77:55 on a pass from Cami Skladany.

Gentile now leads the team with four goals as the Chanticleers open up Big South play Saturday, Oct. 3 at High Point.
