CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina University's Athletic Department launched the updated GoCCUsports.com today, a joint partnership between the department and CBS College Sports, the leader in the production, hosting and marketing of collegiate sports web sites.

Along with a dramatically different look, GoCCUsports.com will have many new features geared towards fans of Chanticleer Athletics. Along with the usual releases, statistics and biographies, the site has photo galleries, video highlights and post-game interviews from selected home and road events, live home and selected road Game Day statistics through CBS' interface GameTracker, interactive polls and blogs and downloadable Outlook schedules and wallpaper. Plans also include live video streaming of Head Football Coach David Bennett's weekly press luncheons. The Chanticleers also have worked with CBS and its partner Stretch Internet to continue to provide free audio streaming of Chanticleer Sports Network broadcasts to Chanticleer fans.

The site also contains various online stores for enhancing the fan experience. The online photo store is a partnership through CBS and Replay Photos, where photos of selected home and road contests for all 17 Chanticleer sports will be available for purchase in a variety of formats. There is also a publications store, where fans can purchase previous and current Coastal Carolina media guides and football game programs. There will be online auctions, where fans can bid on various signed and unsigned memorabilia and game-day experiences for various sports. GoCCUsports.com also has the ability for fans to sign up for updates via text messaging, e-mail and various news feeds as well as the opportunity to purchase wallpapers and ringtones for their cellular phones. In mid-August, the site will also launch its new licensed merchandise store, featuring more than 400 items available for purchase to show support of the Chanticleers.

"This is a major leap for the Athletic Department and one that we have worked hard to achieve," Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations John A. Martin said. "This has been a process that first involved bidding of the partnership and then extensive work to get to this day, as we launch this top-tier site. It will also be a growth area, as CBS College Sports continues to be the pioneer in technology and college athletic web sites. This is a very exciting beginning to an outstanding partnership with CBS College Sports, as we know it will greatly enhance the fans, donors and recruits ability to follow and support the Chanticleers via the Internet."

"The new site is a monumental step for Chanticleer Athletics," Coastal Carolina University Associate Vice President Matt Hogue commented. "We are excited about giving our fans more interactive ways to follow our teams. Partnering with such a strong brand name like CBS brings us instant credibility."

"We're thrilled to be partnering with Coastal Carolina and to have the opportunity to give alumni and fans of the Chanticleers the most robust and interactive experience possible through GoCCUsports.com," said Rob Schupler, Senior Vice President of University Sales & Marketing for CBS College Sports.
