Q: How Do Priority Points Work? A: The Priority Point System is an equitable point system that is used to allocate seats for Coastal Carolina University Football events. The system recognizes and rewards season ticket holders who demonstrate a consistent commitment with Season Ticket purchases and/or contributions to Coastal"s Athletics program. The Priority Point System is similar to those used by many other Athletics programs throughout the country. The location of your Season Ticket seats will be assigned based on the number of Priority Points you have, which are calculated using the system below: Five (5) points are awarded for each consecutive year of Chanticleer Club membership beginning July 1, 2002. One (1) point is awarded for each $100 gift to the Chanticleer Club or designated to the Coastal Carolina University Athletics program beginning July 1, 1998. One (1) point is awarded for each $500 gift to Coastal Carolina University (non-athletic) beginning July 1, 1998. Each year, point calculations are made from the gifts received through the Priority Point Donation Deadline of April 30th.
Q: What is the difference between Preferred and Reserved football seats? A: Preferred Seats are in the upper deck of the East Stands. They are chair-back theater style seats with cup holders. Reserved Seats are bleacher seats in the lower decks of both the East and West Stands. The East Stands Reserved seats have a back rest and the West Stands Reserved Seats do not. Q: How much is the per seat donation for football? A: The "per seat donation" for Preferred football seats (upper deck, chair-back seat) is $140 per seat and reserved (lower deck, bleacher seat with back-rest) is $65 per seat. The donation for each seat does not include the ticket price. You will be billed for your tickets after the Chanticleer Club notifies the Athletic Ticket Office of your eligibility to purchase tickets. Q: What if I am a new Chanticleer Club member and I want preferred football seats? A: You may request preferred football seats and pay the donation amount for the preferred seats. If preferred seats are not available after all the renewals have been processed and seats have been assigned by the priority points system, you will be assigned the best available Reserved seats. The difference between the donation amounts will be credited toward the cost of your tickets. Q: How does parking at football games work? A: Chanticleer Club members are provided with on campus parking to home football games based on their donation level. Once parking privileges are assigned, they are renewed each year along with season tickets. Campus parking areas are: the Teal / RV Lot, the Bronze Zone and the White Zone (see map below). Access to lot/zones is controlled though entrance tags. Teal / RV Lot: Primary Space/Tag Donation Threshold: $1,200. Each additional space/tag: $1,200. Limited availability. Due to very limited availability in the Teal/RV Lot, new or additional spaces are REQUEST ONLY. In the event that spaces become available, you will be contacted with further instructions. Each space in the Teal / RV Lot is reserved and entrance into the lot is controlled throughout the football game. Towing of unauthorized vehicles is strictly enforced. Bronze Zone: Primary Tag Donation Threshold: $300. Each additional tag: $25. White Zone: Primary Tag Donation Threshold: $65. Each additional tag: $25.
The Bronze and White zones are area parking; no reserving of spaces is allowed. You may park anywhere in the zones on a first- come, first- served basis. Entrances into the zones are controlled through half-time of the football game.
Q: How much does it really cost to park? A: Nothing...unless you want to park closer to Brooks Stadium and your football seat donation is less than the value of your Primary Space and any additional parking tag(s) you are assigned. Your Football Parking Donation (if any) is determined by the following formulas: (1) Total Parking Value = (Primary Space/Tag Donation Threshold) + (additional tag(s) value if any) (2) (Total Parking Value) - (Football Seat Donation) = Football Parking Donation. Parking Examples...using the above values and formulas:
