Women's Cross Country Headed to Conference Preview Meet

Previewing the Big South
The Chants will next participate in the Big South Preview meet in Lynchburg, Va. The Chants figure to be factors in the race, with two All-Conference runners returning and several outstanding newcomers being added to the mix.

Wyszynski Wins Coastal Carolina Invitational

Redshirt-freshman Mia Wyszynski was the top individual finisher in 4k road race. Taking part in her first collegiate meet, the Berlin, Germany native beat out teammate Maranie Staab by nearly four seconds for first.

Four is a Crowd
Coastal Carolina had the top four finishers in the race, with Wyszynski and Staab placing 1-2. Sophomore Shelby Donahue and freshman Christian Johnson rounded out the top four finishers for the Chants.

Heading to Liberty
The Conference Preivew Meet is being hosted by Preseason Big South favorite Liberty. The Chants figure to be top competition for the Flames, who sport this weeks Dual Big South Runners of the week in Rebekah Ricksecker and Ashley Osborne.

USTFCCCA Showing the Chants Some Love
The Chants are currently ranked No. 12 in the Southeast Regional Poll by the USTFCCCA. Coastal Carolina is one of two Big South Conference schools in the top 15, as Liberty is ranked No. 9.

Chants Second in Preseason Poll
Coastal Carolina garnered 93 points and three-first place votes to place second in the annual Big South Conference Preseason Poll for the second-consecutive year. Defending champion Liberty took the top spot with 97 points and seven first-place votes.

Looking Ahead
Coastal Carolina will next be in action as it heads to the Paul Short Run on Fri., Oct. 3 in Bethlehem, Pa. The event is slated for a 11:45 a.m. start.
