Women's Cross Country Named All-Academic

CONWAY, S.C. -- Coastal Carolina's women's cross country team was selected as a United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team, the USTFCCCA announced Feb. 26. Teams considered for All-Academic must register a team score at the NCAA Regional Cross Country meet and have at least a 3.0 team grade point average.

It is the 11th consecutive season in which the Lady Chanticleers have been selected as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. Of the 158 teams that were named All-Academic, Coastal ranked 28th nationally with a 3.54 team GPA. Stanford, who won the 2007 NCAA Women's Cross Country Championship, was selected as the Division I USTFCCCA Women's All-Academic Cross Country Team of The Year.
