New Orleans - The Coastal Carolina women’s cross country team earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic status for posting a 3.42 GPA last semester.
This year 205 teams earned the honor for having a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or better and for having started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship. The Chanticleers have reached USTFCCCA All-Academic status for 14 consecutive years.
The Chanticleers were one of five Big South Conference schools to receive the honor. Gardner-Webb,
Coastal took third place this year at the Big South Conference Championship for the third time in the program's history. Coastal has finished in the top three each of the past 23 years, including being conference champions 12 times, as well as finishing as runner-up eight times.
