DIG Pink 2009 |
Oct. 20, 2009
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University volleyball team will be participating in the DIG Pink National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally during the month of October. The Chants will be hosting their DIG Pink match against the Liberty Flames on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m., where they will be donning pink warm-ups and pink socks for the match.
The first 400 fans will receive a free pink T-shirt and the first 200 fans will receive a free backpack. The match will also feature a silent auction, including golf packages and gift certificates to local businesses and there will be plenty of donation opportunities. Fans will have the opportunity to make a donation per dig, so every Chant dig will raise funds to support the cause. <!-- /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;}
The team asks that all attendees wear pink as teams all across the country band together in the ongoing fight against breast cancer. The Chanticleers’ mission is to increase awareness of breast cancer throughout the community and raise funds to help eradicate breast cancer. All proceeds generated through the month of October will be donated to The Side-Out Foundation (www.side-out.org) and a local breast cancer organization in the Myrtle Beach/Conway area.
