CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sierra Livesay of the Coastal Carolina University volleyball team earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors, announced today by the league office.
The Riverside, Calif. native was named to the Myrtle Beach Comfort Suites Invitational All-Tournament Team after finishing the weekend with 33 kills, 18 digs, six service aces and six blocks. She averaged 3.30 kills per set on the weekend and had an attack percentage over .400 in the wins against UNC Wilmington and Western Carolina. She got the weekend started with 13 kills, six digs and two blocks against Charlotte on Sept. 18. On Saturday, Sept. 19, she opened the day with 12 kills, three service aces and eight digs in the 3-0 win against UNC Wilmington and in the final match of the weekend, Livesay tallied eight digs, a .571 attack percentage and four blocks as the Chanticleers rolled past Western Carolina.
The Chanticleers return to action on Fri., Sept.25 at 7 p.m. against High Point.
