"I'm thrilled to have pulled that win out tonight after playing poorly this morning," Head Coach Kristen Bauer commented. "We haven't won a game five yet this season, so that is a nice thing to cross off our list of accomplishments, especially before we start Big South play. The freshman showed us a spark this morning which got them starting time in tonight's match against North Florida. Jill (Nyhof) didn't play like a freshman tonight with 18 kills and 20 digs and Meagan Tracey started off our blocking tonight which sparked the entire team, Megan Pollard is one of our leading passers as a freshman, she had some great serve receives which really got the team motivated. I'm very excited with how everyone played."
Rinne grabbed All-Tournament Team honors for the Lady Chants with her performance on the weekend. She had 25 digs, 22 kills and six block assists.
Coastal returns to action when they head to UNC Wilmington Tuesday, Sept. 19 for a 7 p.m. match.
