CONWAY - After hosting the annual Carolina Classic this past weekend the Coastal Carolina volleyball team is returning to the road to face UNC Wilmington on Tuesday, Sept. 13 in Wilmington, N.C.

The Chanticleers will be playing in their first non-tournament event on Tuesday when they take on the Seahawks.

Coastal went 2-1 this past weekend beating Gardner-Webb 3-2 and Bradley 3-1 before falling to Iona 3-1 to move to 4-6 on the season. The Chanticleers have opened up home play with a 2-1 record four out of the last five seasons.

Sophomore Meghan Laffin and freshman Katie Martinwere named the Coastal Carolina Classic All-Tournament Team. Laffin recorded 46 kills, 24 digs, 5 blocks, and 2 service aces over the two days of play. She recorded a .231 attacking percentage and had 50.5 points. Martin finished the three games with 28 kills, 20 digs, eight blocks, five service aces and had an attacking percentage of .231, while collecting 38 points.

Coastal will be looking to make it five in a row against the Seahawks, as the Chants haven't lost to UNC Wilmington since 2006.

UNC Wilmington is coming off hosting their own tournament, the Hilton Garden Inn Mayfaire Tournament, where they played East Carolina (3-1 loss), Charleston Southern (3-0 Win), and N.C. State (3-0 Loss).
