CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina volleyball team will be traveling to Harrisonburg, Va. this weekend to take part in the James Madison University Days Inn Invitational, which will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 2-3 in Sinclair Gymnasium.
Coastal Carolina will face Robert Morris in their opening match on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
The Chanticleers will then take on tournament host James Madison on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and will wrap up the event against Lehigh at 5:00 p.m.
Robert Morris opened the season at the West Virginia Mountaineer Invitational on Friday and Saturday, August 26-27 and went 0-3 falling to Valparaiso (3-0), Towson (3-0), and West Virginia (3-1).
Coastal Carolina has only faced the Colonials one time, and the Chanticleers won the match 3-0 on September 15, 2000.
The Chanticleers opened the season with wins over UNC Greensboro (3-1) and North Carolina A&T (3-0), while falling to Evansville (3-0) and East Tennessee State (3-2) at the UNC Greensboro Tournament that took place on Friday and Saturday, August 26-27.
Lian Bernett was named to the All-Tournament team after recording 38 kills, 33 digs, eight block assists, three service aces and two assists.
