Volleyball Picked For Second in Big South Preseason Poll

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina’s volleyball team received 116 points including two first-place votes, to grab the second spot in the Big South Conference’s annual preseason poll on Wednesday. The Chants are coming off a season where they finished 21-11 overall, including 11-3 in the Big South Conference, and advanced to the Big South Tournament Semi-finals.Coastal is bringing back five starters from last season including the libero

Winthrop volleyball team captured the top spot by receiving 12 of the 16 first place votes and 120 points overall. The Eagles won the tournament title in the Big South last season with an overall record of 24-13.

The 2004 Big South Vollyball Preseason Poll is voted upon by the Conference’s Head Coaches and Sports Information Directors.
