Coastal Volleyball to Host Coaches Clinic

Coaching clinic will feature two clinics

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina volleyball program is putting on a coaching clinic for local high school and club coaches that will take place over a two week period on Wednesday nights from 6 to 9 p.m. and will cost $50. The first session is March 21 and the second session is April 4 at Kimbel Arena on the campus of Coastal Carolina University.

The coaching clinic will focus on new trends in volleyball and basic volleyball skills such as hitting, passing and blocking. Team building drills such as side outs and transition attacks will also be taught during the sessions. Coach participation is encouraged during the two sessions.

Jozsef Forman the head volleyball coach for the Chanticleers will be running the camp. Forman is entering his first season at Coastal, after serving as the associate head coach of Auburn University. He also has coached at the University of New Orleans, USA/Bring it Promotions u20 Development Team, Mississippi State, the Hungarian men's national team and at Baylor. He also established the NRK-Nyiregyhaza Club, that became middle Europe's top women's volleyball club. Forman also has coaching experience on the international level having coached the Hungarian junior national team, as well as the Hungarian women's national team.

Also helping Forman will be Coastal Carolina assistant coach Gabe Aramian. Aramian comes to Coastal following six years with A5 Mizuno Voleyball in Atlanta, Ga. where he served as master coach, strategic planner, board adviser, lead instructor for youth programs and camps, lead instructor and planner for tryouts, lead instructor and planner for pre-season training and the Holiday Camp, lead instructor and planner for the Southern Showcase College Recruiting Combine and college recruiting coordinator. He most recently coached the 161 team, which was ranked No. 22 in the nation (PrepVolleyball) and won the Sports Performance President's Day Tournament and the OVA MLK Invitational in the 17 Open Division.
