Charleston, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina volleyball team won 3-1 on Saturday, Nov. 5 over
Coastal improved their series record to 39-15 over the Buccaneers.
The Chants fell in the opening set by a score of 25-22, before coming back to take the next three sets 25-23, 27-25 and 25-20.
The second set was similar to the first set with the score remaining close. During the course of the set 14 ties took place and five lead changes occurred. Coastal took the largest lead of the set at three points on a kill by senior Erika Lightsey who put the score at 12-9. The Chanticleers used a 3-1 run to close the second set and win by a score of 25-23.

In the fourth set Coastal used an 8-3 run to close out the game and take the 25-20 win. Sophomore Kindra Bailey scored the final point of the set on a kill, finishing with a total of four kills on eight attempts in the fourth set.
Bernett tallied 15 kills in the win, while Skryd recorded 42 assists and fellow classmate Lindsay Gill grabbed 13 digs and three service aces. Bailey had a team high two blocks.
Leading the way for the Buccaneers was Kayla Klinger with 13 kills, Amy Nokes finished with 27 assists and Ashley Higginbothem posted 14 digs.
Coastal will return to action on Friday, Nov. 11 when they travel to
