GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men’s and women’s track and field team sent two women’s athletes and one male athlete to compete at the North Carolina A&T Invitational Sunday, May 16.

Jack Hutchison was the lone Chanticleer male athlete to compete in the Invitational. In the 110-meter hurdle preliminaries, Hutchison ran 14.43, qualifying him for the finals. In the finals, Hutchison finished in eighth place with a time of 14.48.

Kierra Gabe tied for eighth in the high jump with a 5’5.75” (1.67m) mark, but fell short of improving her season-best mark of 5’7” (1.70m), which she hit the day before at the Georgia Tech Invitational.

Sierrah Oates competed in the long jump, but fouled on all three of her attempts.

The Chanticleers will wait to find out who will be competing at the NCAA First Round in Greensboro, N.C., which will be announced on Thursday, May 20.
