ATLANTA, GA -- Coastal Carolina's women's track and field squad, led by senior Anne Marie Moutsinga's (Galati, Romania/Radu Negru) title in the 5,000-meter run, had three top-five finishes at the Georgia Tech Invitational, Fri., May 12.
Moutsinga returned to form and won the individual title in the 5,000, also qualfying for the NCAA East Regional with a season-best time of 16:51.47.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, freshman Felicitas Mensing (Neuhausen, Germany/Leplergy Secondary School) ran a season-best 10:24.24 to place third and improve her NCAA East Regional qualifying time. Junior Dana Sizemore (Gibbstown, N.J./Paulsboro) placed fifth in the javelin with a throw of 41.18m (135' 1").
The competition, which is one of the last chances to qualify for the NCAA East Regional in two weeks, wraps up, Sat., May 13.
