CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina women's indoor track and field team is competing in the Sykes & Sabock Challenge at the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track in College Station, Pa. on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Chanticleers are one of 16 teams competing in the event. Coastal will have 19 student-athletes taking part in the meet, which starts at 9:00 a.m.

Coastal heads into the meet coming off of an impressive showing at the Clemson Invitational where 27 top 10 performances took place. Mary Lawrence tied for second in the pole vault, setting a new school record with a mark of 3.78 meters (12-04.75). Lawrence broke Marilyn Testa's mark of 3.65 meters (11-11.75) that was set in 2003.

Letitia Saayman won the 3,000-meter run last week in a time of 10:09.40. Also posting wins last week were the 4x400-meter relay (Erica Peake, Qwontajah Thompson, Santresa Jamison and Sharmaine Barnes) in a time of 10:09.40 and Kierra Gabe in the high jump after clearing 1.65 meters (5-05.00).
