CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University women’s indoor track and field team will travel to Clemson for the JRF Combined Events/Invitational January 28-29.  This will be the first of five meets at Clemson for the Chanticleers, including the Big South Indoor Championship Feb. 24-25.  

Coastal will travel a full squad of 28 athletes to the event.  It will be the season debut for many of the athletes, as the Chanticleers sent a partial squad to the Hokie Invitational.  Darriale Henley will open up her indoor season as the reigning Big South champion in the long jump and All-Big South in the 60-meter dash.  Also making her season debut is the 2010 All-Big South honoree in the 400 meters, Santresa JamisonErica Peake, a South Carolina State transfer, looks to begin her career at Coastal in the 60-meter dash and 200 meters this weekend while Jamie Brusa and Emily Marchini, who both earned All-Big South honors in cross country, will open their indoor season in the 3,000 meters, joining sophomore Janel Reeves.  

The meet is scheduled to begin on Friday at 12:00 p.m. with the last women’s event scheduled at 5 p.m.  The meet will resume on Saturday at 12 p.m. with the final women’s event slated to begin at 2 p.m.
