BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Three Coastal Carolina track and field freshmen donned the Chanticleer teal and black for the final time of their rookie campaigns at the 2012 USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., from June 15-17.

Ryan Minor (hammer), Camille Hurley (100m hurdles) and Carrington Fernandors (110m hurdles) took part in the three-day event that included the top junior track and field athletes in the nation. Fans were treated to a glimpse of the future of USA Track & Field as the best high school standouts and the most promising college freshmen faced off at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex, one of America's premier venues.

Minor, a native of Southport, N.C., finished 15th overall in the 23-competitor hammer throw field. Minor, who claimed top honors in the shot put at the 2012 Chanticleer Classic, finished with a personal-best distance of 57.53m (188-09) on his second attempt of the day.

Hurley ran a 14.72 in the 100m hurdles to finish sixth in her heat and 21st overall. The Lake Mary, Fla., native closed the regular season ranked sixth in the Big South with a season-best 100m hurdles time of 14.22 at the Big South Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Fernandors, a Spartanburg, S.C., product, finished 23rd overall in the 110m hurdles as he crossed the finish line in 14.78, despite facing a 1.6 mph headwind. Fernandors finished the regular season with the Chants' third fastest 110m hurdles time of 14.59, which he achieved at the Winthrop Twilight.
