Final Meet Results

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University women’s indoor track and field team wrapped up the Tiger Paw Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 13, with 16 top-10 finishes, including seven on day two. 

Ikeiylah Brown led the Chanticleers, finishing second in the 400 meters with a time of 56.53 while Vondeeshia Humphries was close behind in ninth with a 59.25 mark. 

The distance medley team, consisting of Rindi Wood, Samantha Keenan, Peggy Busbee and Joyce Curtin finished ninth after crossing the line in 12:36.27.  Kierra Gabe, Felicia Aiken, Thomasena Smith and Mikaela Terry ran the 4x400-meter relay, finishing 11th after crossing the line in 4:04.82. 

Shelby Donahue and Christian Johnson had good showings in the 800 meters, finishing 10th and 14th, respectively.  Donahue crossed the line at 2:21.22 while Johnson finished in 2:22.55. 

The Chanticleers had good performances in the field events with Mary Lawrence tying for fourth in the pole vault with an 11’4.5” (3.47m) leap, while Brittany Connor placed 10th in the shot put with a 40’5.5” (12.33m) mark. Kierra Gabe finished ninth in the triple jump with a 36’7.75” (11.17m) mark.

In other events, Santresa Jamison and Humphries placed 11th and 14th in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in 25.81 and 25.91, respectively. Connor was 10th in the shot put at 12.33m, Shantelle Patterson was 15th at 11.92m and Robin Callan in 19th in the event at 11.12m.

The Chanticleers are back at Clemson Saturday, Feb. 20, for the Tiger Tune-up before returning home for the Chanticleer Challenge, Sunday, Feb. 21.
