CLEMSON, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University women’s indoor track and field team concluded day one of the Tiger Paw Invitational with nine top-10 finishes, including a win in the 60-meter dash by Ikeiylah Brown with a season-best time of 7.50.
Sierrah Oates earned two top-10 finishes in the first day by running a personal-best 8.99 in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing 10th overall, and tied for fifth in the long jump with a 18’1.75” (5.53m) mark. Also in the 60-meter hurdles, Melissa Arango ran a season-best 9.21.
Santresa Jamison was the top Chant in the 300 meters at third with a time of 40.55 and Vondeeshia Humphries was close behind in fourth, crossing the finish line in 40.61. Also in the 300 meters, Felicia Aiken ran a 43.15.
In the 1,000 meters, Shelby Donahue and Christian Johnson both finished in the top-10 at fourth and seventh, respectively. Donahue finished with a time of 3:00.86 and Johnson crossed the line at 3:03.53. Joyce Curtin ran the mile run in 5:23.38 to finish 20th.
The Chanticleers wrap up the Tiger Paw Invitational tomorrow with the shot put and distance medley slated to start at 12 p.m.
