Women's Indoor Track & Field Finish Day One of Tiger Paw Invitational

Day One Results

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University women’s indoor track and field team concluded day one of the Tiger Paw Invitational with nine top-10 finishes, including a win in the 60-meter dash by Ikeiylah Brown with a season-best time of 7.50. 

 

Darriale Henley also finished in the top-10 of the 60-meter dash with a season-best time of 7.56, placing fourth, while Samantha Keenan ran a personal-best 8.01 in the event. 

 

Sierrah Oates earned two top-10 finishes in the first day by running a personal-best 8.99 in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing 10th overall, and tied for fifth in the long jump with a 18’1.75” (5.53m) mark.  Also in the 60-meter hurdles, Melissa Arango ran a season-best 9.21. 

 

Santresa Jamison was the top Chant in the 300 meters at third with a time of 40.55 and Vondeeshia Humphries was close behind in fourth, crossing the finish line in 40.61.  Also in the 300 meters, Felicia Aiken ran a 43.15. 

 

In the 1,000 meters, Shelby Donahue and Christian Johnson both finished in the top-10 at fourth and seventh, respectively.  Donahue finished with a time of 3:00.86 and Johnson crossed the line at 3:03.53.  Joyce Curtin ran the mile run in 5:23.38 to finish 20th

 

In the field events, Kierra Gabe placed fifth overall in the high jump with a 5’5” (1.65m) mark and Kandisa Allicock finished tied for sixth after a 5’3” (1.60m) mark. 

 

Robin Callan finished 12th in the weight throw after a 47’0.25” (14.33m) throw and Brittany Connor and Shantelle Patterson finished 14th and 15th, respectively.  

 

The Chanticleers wrap up the Tiger Paw Invitational tomorrow with the shot put and distance medley slated to start at 12 p.m.
