Chanticleers Earn Eight Top-10 Finishes in Day Two of Tiger Paw Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina women's indoor tack & field team wrapped up the second day of the Tiger Paw Invitational at Clemson University on Saturday, Feb. 11 with eight top-10 performances.

Earning the top performance for the Chanticleers was Erica Peake who took second place in the 200 meters with a time of 24.56.

Santresa Jamison took third place in the 400-meter dash following a time of 57.43.

Mary Lawrence placed fourth in the pole vault after clearing 3.61 meters (11-10).

During the 3000-meter race Letitia Saayman and Emily Marchini finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Saayman completed the event in 10:14.13 and Marchini posted a time of 10:17.59.

Sophie Perry and Christian Johnson finished back-to-back in the 800-meter dash taking seventh and eighth, respectively. Perry recorded a time of 2:19.24 and Johnson posted a time of 2:19.81.

The Chanticleers also earned a top-10 finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a 10th play showing with a time 4:02.02. Qwontajah Thompson, Anna Carnegie, Camille Hurley and Jerica Howard were the members of the relay team.

Coastal will next compete in the Gamecock Invitational in Columbia, S.C., on Friday, Feb. 18.
