CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – After seeing three of its participants advance on day of the ITA Regionals, the Coastal Carolina women’s tennis team was unable to duplicate its success Friday on the second day of the tournament from North Carolina’s Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
The Chanticleers dropped all four of their singles matches on Friday in the main draw bracket. Junior Miki Bunea was defeated 6-0, 6-2 by Josipa Bek of Clemson, while junior Diana Mortlock fell 6-0, 6-0 to Wake Forest’s Martina Pavelec.
Freshman Mikaela Kristofersson dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Shanna Bhambri of NC State before senior Lexi Bolesky was beaten by Zoe DeBruycker of North Carolina 6-1, 6-1.
The Coastal doubles team of Mortlock and Bunea lost their match 8-1 to the Duke duo of Hanna Mar and Reka Zsilnszka.
