ITA Women's Carolinas' Regional 2011
CONWAY - Members of the Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will compete in the ITA Carolinas Regional beginning Thursday, Oct. 20 through Monday, Oct. 24.
Matches will be hosted in Chapel Hill, N.C., at the Indoor Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
In the singles main draw Miki Bunea and Diana Mortlock have already qualified for the 64-person field. Kourtney Kowal, Maria Hesketh and Mikaela Kristofersson will attempt to win two qualifying matches to make the main singles field.
In the 64 doubles team main draw the Chanticleers will send three teams that have pre-qualified for the field. Those teams include Buena/Mortlock, Kristofersson/Hesketh and Malatek/Dominique De Wit.
Schools from North Carolina and South Carolina are competing in the event that features a standard tournament format without a backdraw.
