Women's Tennis Day One at Residence Inn North Wolfpack Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. - The women's tennis team is competing in the Residence Inn North Wolfpack Invitational hosted by North Carolina State University. Competition began Friday and will end on Sunday.

In the A2 singles bracket, Virginie Dihn (Maisons Albert, France/Sophia)  fell to Lucia Kapisinska of  Hampton University in three games with scores of: 6-7, 5-7, and 3-6. Dihn will now face Kristin Nordstrom of James Madison University at 11:45 a.m. Saturday. In the B2 singles competition  Petra Janti (Haukiverkko Espo, Finland/Tapiolan Lukio .) fell to Ali Pincinete of UNC Charlotte in three games with scores of: 6-3, 4-6, and 6-7. Pazahanick will now face Scarlet Alfonzo of Campbell University Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

In the doubles competition, Dihn and Hayley Rudman (Johannesburg, South Africa) fell to Barbara Orlay and Alajandra Guerra of North Carolina State, 8-1. Dihn and Rudman will now face Ellen Rogers and Laura Lynn Williams from Wofford College Saturday at 9:15 a.m.

The Lady Chanticleers will continue to play in the Residence Inn North Wolfpack Carolina State University Tournament until Sunday.
