Chanticleers Wrap Up Final Day at College of Charleston Tournament

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina women's tennis ended their final day of competition at the College of Charleston Tournament by going 3-1 in singles competition and recording two victories in doubles.

Libby Scott followed up her victory over Lindsey Cable of Stetson on Saturday by defeating Tyler Baker of Charlotte to finish fifth in the A2 flight. Shelby Bates and Vanessa Ortiz also posted wins in the final day of competition.

In the A1 doubles flight, Libby Scott and Kourtney Kowal split their two matches on Saturday before putting away the Charlotte pair of Anna Ekelund and Lisa Grosselius on Sunday to place fifth. Shelby Bates and Mikaela Davies also recorded a victory over Davidson's Nisha Crouser and Elise Held in the A2 doubles flight.

CCU's women's tennis team will next be competing in the UNC Charlotte Fall Invitational which will take place in Charlotte, N.C. Oct. 12 and 13.
