Women's Tennis Give Back with The Shepherd's Table

July 18, 2013

CONWAY - Members of the Coastal Carolina women's tennis team recently spent time giving back to the community by volunteering at The Shepherd's Table in Conway.

Senior Amanda Malatek and junior Dominique De Wit along with head coach Catherine Hewitt spent a combined 7.5 hours preparing and serving meals at The Shepherd's Table café on July 8.

"Volunteering is a great way for our student-athletes to give back to the community that supports them throughout the year," said Hewitt. "Volunteering is what makes a community and brings people together.

"We thoroughly enjoyed donating our time at The Shepherd's Table and have been added to the volunteer rotation to serve in the café throughout the remainder of the year"
