Lynchburg, Va. – The Coastal Carolina Women’s Tennis team defeated the Liberty Flames 4-2 on Saturday, Mar. 31. With the victory, the Lady Chanticleers improve their overall record to 14-4 and 4-1 in the Big South Conference.
In singles play, Amy Pazahanick (Canton, Georgia/Brookwood High School (Georgia Southern)) brought home a victory over Ekaterina Kuznetsova, 7-6 (8-6), 7-5. Kimberley Webb (Usk, Wales/Millfield School) defeated Martyna Hanusz, 6-1, 6-4 and Maria Camberos (San Luis Potosi, Mexico/Instituto Lomar del Real) beat Livia Branco, 6-1, 6-0. With the final win for Coastal was Sofie Ahlberg (Stockholm, Sweden/Adalsskolan) who defeated Daniela Dimas 6-0, 6-1.
Due to weather the match was delayed and doubles were not played.
Coastal returns to action on Sunday, April 1 taking on the Radford Highlanders at 11 a.m.
