Women's Tennis Defeats Birmingham-Southern

CONWAY, S.C. — Coastal Carolina's women's tennis team defeated Birmingham-Southern Thursday afternoon 6-1 at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center.

The Lady Chanticleers, now 11-4 overall, returns to Big South Conference action tomorrow afternoon in Rock Hill, South Carolina. It will be a match of the Big South's top two squads as both Coastal and Winthrop are undefeated after four Big South matches. Emma Kidd, Coastal Carolina's three-time defending Big South Conference Player of the Year, is expected to return to the court after not playing singles against Birmingham-Southern due to an illness.
