Women's Tennis Falls to Winthrop 7-0
More Information: CONWAY, S.C. The Coastal Carolina University women's tennis team fell to conference foe Winthrop 0-7 on Saturday, Mar. 24. With the loss, the Lady Chanticleers fell to 13-4 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.
Coastal picked up one win in doubles play. At the No.1 spot,
Hayley Rudman (Johannesburg, South Africa/Northcliff High School (MIssissippi State University)) and
Amy Pazahanick (Canton, Georgia/Brookwood High School (Georgia Southern University)) defeated the Navaes and Perreira duo with an 8-4 score.
In singles play, Rudman had a close match on the No. 1 court. She was defeated by Navaes in three sets with scores of 4-6, 6-3 and 6-2.
Also going three sets was Pazahanick in the No. 3 position. Pazahanick fell to Bagaric with scores of 4-6, 6-2 and 6-1.
The Lady Chants return to action Saturday, Mar. 31 in Lynchburg, Va. to take on Liberty at 11 a.m.
