Women's Tennis Grabs 16th Win Of The Season After A 5-2 Victory Over UNC Wilmington

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina’s women’s tennis team ran its record to 16-1 on the season after a 5-2 victory over visting UNC Wilmington, 5-2 , at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center, Wednesday March 22. The Seahawks fall to 12-2 on the year.
The Lady Chanticleers took the doubles point with two doubles victories. Petra Jantti (Haukiverkko Espo, Finland/Tapiolan Lukio) and Amy Pazahanick (Canton, Ga./Brookwood (Georgia Southern)) continued their solid play, defeating the UNCW squad 8-2 to advance to a perfect 14-0 as a team on the season. Virginie Dinh (Maisons Albert, France/Sophia) and Hayley Rudman (Johannesburg, South Africa/Northcliff (Mississippi State) earned an 8-5 doubles win, making them 13-1 on the year as a pair.
Pazahanick moved her record to 16-0 this season with a 6-0, 6-0 win over UNCW's Kristen Mears. Rudman, Sofie Ahlberg (Stockholm, Sweden/Adalsskolan), and junior Sarize Coetzee (Bloemfontein, South Africa/Oranje Meisieskool (Texas Tech)) also brought in singles wins for the Lady Chants to secure the victory. Coetzee is now 13-0 on the year after her three-set win, going 10-7 in the final set.
CCU will now host Memphis Saturday, March 25 at 10 a.m.
