ORLANDO, FLA. – The Coastal Carolina University women’s tennis squad posted its 12th-consecutive win with a solid 6-1 victory over Cleveland State on its spring trip in Orlando, Fla., Mar. 19. The Chanticleers advanced to 12-1 on the year while the Vikings dropped to 9-7.
Coastal Carolina swept through all three doubles matches to pick up the first point of the match. The closest an 8-7 victory at No. 3 by Kim Webb and Maria Camberos, the pair’s ninth straight win.
In singles, the Chanticleers won five of the six matches, all of them going in straight sets. Patricia Cortes at No. 4 and Maria Camberos at No. 6 each picked up their 12th consecutive wins in singles against the Vikings.
