CONWAY, S.C. -- The Coastal Carolina University women's tennis team continued its solid fall play at the UNF Invitational, Oct. 9-11. The Chanticleers posted an 11-4 record in singles and a 1-2 mark in doubles.

In Flight C, senior Maria Camberos put together the best run of any individual, advancing to the finals before losing to UCF's Taylor Dubins in the championship match. In Flight A, junior Lexi Bolesky (2-1) and transfer Miki Bunea (3-1) both made runs in the draw, eventually losing to opponents from Indiana University in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively. Senior Kim Webb went 2-1 in the flight as well before being knocked out by Samford's Emily Mallory in the quarterfinals. In single-elimination doubles, the duo of Bolesky and Bunea got a win in the first round before falling out of the tournament with a loss to a pair from Indiana.

"This was a great tournament for our team, our girls played well and the competition was tough," Head Coach Jody Davis commented. "We still know that we have much work to do but hopefully a successful weekend like this will continue to build confidence and help us prepare for the upcoming spring season."
