College of Charleston Invitational: Day Two Results

Charleston, S.C. - Romane Delay’s play in the A2 singles flight was the highlight of Coastal’s second day at the College of Charleston Invitational on Saturday. 

Delay, who won her first-round match on Friday in three sets, advanced past the second round on Saturday after downing Stetson’s Eveline Lepinay 6-4, 6-4. Delay’s run would not continue on to the semifinals however, as she was defeated by Jessica Northcutt of Samford, 6-2, 6-0. 

In doubles play, Libby Scott and Delay will play for third place in the A1 doubles flight on Sunday against Stetson’s Bukajeva and Fernandez after losing in semifinals on Saturday to Armstrong’s pair. 

Also in doubles play, Marie Babayan and Kourtney Kowal notched a victory via injury in the A2 doubles flight. 

Play at the College of Charleston Invitational will conclude on Sunday.
