CHARLESTON, S.C. - Coastal Carolina women's tennis lost its final road match of the regular season, 4-3, against Charleston Southern on Wednesday afternoon.

Coastal swept the doubles matches to take a quick 1-0 lead in the match. Seniors Miki Bunea and Diana Mortlock shutout their opponent 8-0 followed by wins from the duo of Mikaela Kristofersson and Katie Fosnacht (8-7 (7-5) and Kourtney Kowal and Maria Hesketh (8-6).

Mortlock and Kristofersson earned the other two points for Coastal as they fell to 14-5 and 5-2 in the Big South. Meanwhile Charleston Southern clinched the second seed in the Big South Championship hosted next week by UNC Asheville.

Coastal returns home Friday for a non-conference match against East Carolina at 3 p.m. The Chants will close out the regular season on Saturday when they face UNC Asheville beginning at 2 p.m.
