Women's Tennis Falls to No. 75 UNC Wilmington

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Coastal Carolina dropped its first match away from Conway to UNC Wilmington, 5-2 Wednesday afternoon at the UNCW Tennis Complex.

The Chanticleers dropped the doubles point followed by three straight losses in singles play as the nationally ranked Seahawks improved to 10-5 while Coastal fell to 12-3 on the year.

Four-time Big South Freshman of the Week, Katie Fosnacht won in straight sets over Kelly Cameron (6-3, 6-4) while senior Diana Mortlock won 3-6, 6-1, 10-3 for Coastal's second point of the match.

Coastal returns home to play a pair of conference matches over the weekend. The team is scheduled to host UNC Asheville on Saturday, March 31 at 10 a.m., followed by a Sunday afternoon match against Presbyterian College slated for 1 p.m.
