WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Coastal Carolina women's tennis team improved to 9-1 on the season after defeating the University of Rhode Island 7-0 Tuesday afternoon at the Winter Park Tennis Center.

Coastal swept the doubles portion of the match and completed the shutout winning five of the six singles matches.

The Chants return to the courts on Saturday, March 17 at Gardner-Webb. Match time is set for noon in Boiling Springs, N.C.
