The fourth-seeded Liberty Flames defeated the fifth-seeded Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 4-1 Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Big South Women's Tennis Championship presented by Musco Lighting at the Winthrop Memorial Tennis Courts.
Libby Scott was named the 2013 Big South Freshman of the Year and made the All-Conference Singles Team, Dominique De Wit received Big South All-Academic Team honors, and the pair was named co-winners of the No. 3 doubles flight, the Conference announced at its annual awards banquet on Wednesday evening.
