Coastal Adds Katie Davis to 2017 Roster
Coastal Carolina University head beach volleyball coach Jozsef Forman has announced the addition of Katie Davis to the 2017 roster. Davis played four seasons of indoor volleyball at UNC Asheville, and is entering Coastal Carolina as a graduate student.
Her senior season at UNCA, Davis started 15 of the 27 matches in which she played. She led the team in assists with 619, averaging 6.59 per set, while also averaging 0.54 kills and 1.85 digs per set.
As a junior, Davis played in all 30 matches while leading the Bulldogs with 765 assists. She added 218 digs, 59 blocks and eight service aces.
Davis ranked second in the Big South averaging 10.08 assists per set as a sophomore, and added 1.01 kills per set with a .212 hitting percentage. She also ranked third on the team averaging 2.26 digs per set.
Davis was a two-time Big South Freshman of the Week honoree in 2012 while ranking fifth in the conference in assists per set (9.07) and finishing third on the team with 2.05 digs per set.
A native of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Davis played high school volleyball at Carolina Forest.
