CONWAY - Kiana Quolas received her fourth The Crons Brand Pitcher of the Week honor after going 2-0 from the circle and earning her first save of the season during the final week of the regular season.
Coastal swept Winthrop this past weekend and earned the No. 2 seed in the Big South Conference Tournament.
During the Chanticleers' 3-2 win in the opening game against the Eagles on Saturday, Quolas pitched a complete game recording a career-high 11 strikeouts, while allowing just two walks and three hits in 10 innings. She posted her first save of the season during the second game of the doubleheader, as Coastal won 4-1.
Quolas pitched her 23rd complete game of the season on Sunday during the series finale, in which she struck out nine, walked one and gave up seven hits in the 7-1 victory.
Quolas posted a 0.78 ERA in 18 innings pitched, while holding the opponents to a .169 batting average.
The Chanticleers return to action on Thursday, May 10 at 11:30 a.m. in the Big South Conference tournament against the No. 7 seed Presbyterian.
