Softball's Kretchman Chosen for NCAA Leadership Conference

 CONWAY, S.C. – Junior Trish Kretchman (Berrien Springs, Mich./Lakeshore) of Coastal Carolina's softball team has been selected by the NCAA to represent Coastal at the upcoming 2006 NCAA Leadership Conference from May 28-June 1 at Disney's Yacht Beach Resort Club in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

This is the 10th annual NCAA Leadership Conference. Since the first conference in 1997, over 2,700 student-athletes have participated in this event. Kretchman is one of 352 student-athletes invited nationally to participate in this year's conference.

Besides being a member of the school's Dean's List, Kretchman has served on variety of leadership positions in her first three years at Coastal. Among the positions she has held are Vice President of the CCU's Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and Chair of both the Welcome Back Dinner and The Player's Ball-Making Miracles Happen (A SAAC run benefit).
