CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina softball team's doubleheader against Charleston Southern scheduled for Tuesday has been pushed back to Wednesday due to the threat of inclement weather.
The Big South Conference doubleheader between the Lowcountry rivals will now begin at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Coastal Carolina Softball Stadium.
In the latest NCAA rankings released on Monday, Kory Hayden is tied for first in the nation in home runs per game (0.41) and tied for third in total home runs with 15, one behind the leaders. She is also ninth in RBIs per game (1.27). Her 47 total RBIs this season are already a career-high.
Bri Chiusano shares the top spot in stolen bases with 34 and is tied for third in stolen bases per game (0.92). She also ranks tied for 21st in runs per game (1.08) and 22nd in on-base percentage (.537).
Kiana Quolas is up to sixth in the country with her 0.80 ERA. She is also tied for 13th in wins (17), shares 17th-place in shutouts (6) and ranks 19th in hits allowed per seven innings (4.11). As a team, Coastal's 1.41 ERA is seventh-best in the nation, right behind Baylor and just ahead of Minnesota.
Coastal will take a 26-11 overall record and 8-1 Big South mark into Wednesday's games. Charleston Southern is 19-24-1 overall and 5-6 in conference play. The Buccaneers suffered a pair of one-run losses to College of Charleston on Saturday. The Chanticleers won three of four meetings last season. CSU's lone victory came in the Big South Tournament.
