"Going Yard for the Cure!" Pledge Form Get Acrobat Reader

Coastal Carolina softball would like you to join them in their efforts in "Going Yard for the Cure!"  Approximately 1.5 million new cases of cancer are diagnosed each year.  There is a good chance you know someone with this disease.  Cancer has truly impacted the softball team this year.  One of the current players recently lost her father, and the team has several other members of the program with a parent or other loved one fighting this disease.

The Coastal Carolina softball team kicked off the 2011 season at the Palmetto State Showdown, hosted by South Carolina and returned home for the Kickin' Chicken Classic, which the team won by going 4-1 at the event.  The team has decided to dedicate the season to helping the fight against cancer.  They are looking to raise at least $5,000 for the American Cancer Society.

The squad knows that many people already donate to various organizations and possibly already donate to the American Cancer Society, but they hope you will consider helping them reach their goal.

As a donor, you can choose to pledge a dollar amount per homerun hit by the Chanticleers or you can opt to pledge a flat donation.  All proceeds directly benefit the American Cancer Society.  Head Coach Kelley Green is committed to donating $5 of her own money per homerun hit in 2011. Any individual who matches this pledge will receive a Coastal Carolina t-shirt.

Already this season, Coastal has hit two homeruns, both at the Kickin' Chicken Classic.

How will my donation help?

How does the American Cancer Society use your contribution to support the fight against cancer? They help people reduce their risk of cancer, provide free programs and services for cancer patients, fund groundbreaking research, and make sure cancer remains a priority issue for elected officials.

Coastal softball is proud to be "Going Yard for the Cure" and hope you will join their team in this important cause!

Above you  find a pledge form for you to join in the fight against cancer.  You can go to the "Going Yard for the Cure" website at www.goingyard.yolasite.com to find more information and to submit your donation online.  You can also donate directly to the event on the American Cancer Society website.  All checks should be made payable to the American Cancer Society.  Thank you for helping the Chanticleers reach their goal!
