Chants Named to All-Tournament Team

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina's Bri Chiusano, Kory Hayden and Kiana Quolas have been selected for the Kickin' Chicken Classic All-Tournament team, which was announced on Sunday.

The trio helped the Chanticleers post a tournament-best record of 3-1 in the three-day event, with victories over Purdue, Towson and Virginia and the lone defeat to Purdue.

Chiusano hit a team-high .417 over the four games with one triple and led the Chants with seven runs scored and five stolen bases. Hayden batted .385 with three home runs, one double, nine RBIs and three runs scored. Quolas went 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA over 14 innings in her two starts in the circle. She recorded 11 strikeouts and just one walk, while also hitting .385 at the plate.

The Kickin' Chicken Classic concluded on Sunday with two games as Purdue outslugged Towson 11-7 and Towson defeated Virginia 7-2. For the tournament, Purdue posted a 3-2 mark, Towson went 2-2 and Virginia went 0-3.
