MYRTLE BEACH - The Coastal Carolina softball team belted out five home runs while Kiana Quolas and Morgan Mastriania pitched complete-game shutouts as the Chanticleers cruised to 10-0 and 6-0 victories over Middle Tennessee State and Georgetown, respectively, Saturday in the Chanticleer Challenge.

Coastal has now won 10 of its last 12 games to improve to 12-10 for the season.

Kory Hayden homered in each game, while Morgan Noad hit another grand slam in the six-inning rout of Middle Tennessee. Quolas and Paige Goldsack also hit home runs as Chants totaled four against the Blue Raiders (1-18) on nine overall hits.

Quolas (6-4) notched her sixth straight win and recorded her fourth individual shutout in five games while running her consecutive scoreless innings streak to 36. She stranded a runner on third base in the second inning and cruised from there, scattering four hits, striking out three and walking none.

CCU got on the board with a run in the first as Bri Chiusano reached on an infield single and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by Cacia Pierre. Hayden then made it 3-0 in the third when she followed a single by Quolas with a two-run homer to left.

Quolas hit her fourth homer of the season with two outs in the fifth before the Chanticleers ended the game an inning early after a six-run sixth inning. Beth Kassuhn led it off with a single, Jazmin Daigle walked and Brooke Donovan reached on an error following a sacrifice bunt. That loaded the bases for Noad, who does her best work at the plate with three runners on base. She crushed a 1-1 pitch over the fence in right for her third grand slam in nine days and fifth home run of the year.

Goldsack then capped the scoring with her second career homer, a two-run shot to center.

The Chants continued their power hitting early in the game against Georgetown (4-17). After Chiusano drew a leadoff walk in the first, Quolas hammered an RBI double to the left-field corner. Hayden then hit the next pitch from Hoyas' starter Lauren O'Leary over the left-field fence for her fifth homer in six games and ninth this season. She also wasted no time extending her hitting streak to 10 games.

Coastal then added a run in the third on three walks and an illegal pitch, scored another in the fourth on a run-scoring walk to Pierre and made it 6-0 in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Hayden.

Chiusano had three of the team's five hits in the game and scored three runs.

It was more enough offense for Mastriania as she tossed a three-hitter to pick up her first win of the season. The sophomore allowed only singles in the first, fifth and sixth innings and didn't allow a runner past first base. She struck out four and walked none while notching CCU's fourth consecutive shutout victory.

The Chanticleers wrap up their final tournament of the regular season Sunday when they host James Madison at 10 a.m., followed by another game against Middle Tennessee. James Madison (13-6) has won all four of its games in the tournament while outscoring its opponents 39-5 and totaling 11 home runs.
